Hello,
I have a problem with licence lease.
I had a Windows 7 x64 computer, with QV 11.2 SR 12.
My licence was leased from my server.
No problem.
I've updated my computer to Windows 10.
Since, I can't borrow licence anymore.
I tried to re-install QV desktop.
My setup file fails "not the good OS".
So, I downloaded QV 11.2 SR13 for Win8andUp.
It works, but I still can't lease a licence from my server.
When I connect to the server, I see all files hosted on the server, I can open them, but it's still written "Personal Edition" in the title bar.
Worst, I now can't open the files I've made from my computer!
I removed the User CAL, waited 24 hours, added the User CAL, and restarted the server → now I can lease the licence.
Very weird behavior.
If anybody migrates from Win 7 with a QlikView x64 (not "Win8andUp") to Win 10, I'm curious to know if the have the same problem...

IF, the application on the server is accessing means,
Then Check this in your QMC-Management console,
In QMC -> System -> Licenses -> Qlikview Server -> Under Client Access Licenses -> Allow License lease
Its ticked or not .Check once.
Hope this Helps,

Yes, it's checked.
Hi,
1.Are you having named Client access license ?
2.Can you see all applications and access which are hosted on the server ?
3.Did you checked the allow license lease on the Main(Production) server Side is Ticked?
4.Once all done, reload your server performance application.
Please check the above ,

> 1.Are you having named Client access license ?
Yes.
> 2.Can you see all applications and access which are hosted on the server ?
Yes.
> 3.Did you checked the allow license lease on the Main(Production) server Side is Ticked?
I only have 1 server, so yes.
> 4.Once all done, reload your server performance application.
I don't understand what that means.
All worked fine since more than 2 years (leasing a licence every month), until my Windows 7 to 10 update.
Hi ,
Then this,
1. Did You installed QlikViewDesktop_Win8andUp version.is it ok means.
2.Try clear license information (Setting -> User Preferences -> License). And lease again. For me it working fine both in version 10,11
3.Then the,
users must have be have the capability to access the following folders & registry keys (i.e read and write access required to lease a license)
1. C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys
2. C:\Documents and Settings\UserProfile\Application Data\QlikTech\QlikView
3. Registry Keys
-. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\QlikTech
-. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\QlikTech
I guess this a new inclusion in Qlikview 11 SR2 desktop version.
4.This may happen when only when you try to use the same user to lease licenses on 5 machines.
Check the above,
-Hirish
1. Yes, Win8andUp.
2. Done. Always the same behavior.
3. I tried to run QlikView as administrator. No success.
4. I may have 2 leases: one one the server and one on my desktop.
Is it possible to know how much times a licence is borrowed?
