I don't know where to start in Talend Open Studio. do not want cloud-based. Looking to migrate sql database to Oracle database. Can anyone tell me if this tool can do this and how I go about it please?
Create a new standard job and add a tdbinput component and a tdboutput component into your design pallette. Then add the connection details for your input and output database along with the schema details on the input and then sync this so that input and output have the same schema. From there ensure that you have a main row connecting these two components and create a new database if that is what you want on the output component and then you are done.
This is a much earlier version but essentially what I suggested just with a map component in between which if you are doing a 1 to 1 with no transformations or swapping of the schema mappings then is not required.
