Global Context Group in TAC

Hello.

I'm new to Talend.

I'm struggling a lot with the Context Groups, Variables, etc.

I have many jobs and I would love to know if there is a way to have like one single Context Group with the connection details and if I need to update the password for the connection for example I can just do it one time.

My biggest problem is in the TAC, I have to update the password in the Context Group of each job, that doesn't seem right to me, I didn't design or develop the project but now I'm supporting this and I would like to improve that to start.

Is there a way to just update the password one time in the TAC and have all the jobs to inherit that automatically?

if can point me in the right direction to achieve that will be appreciated.

Hi

It's impossible to update a context group on TAC, you can do it in Studio, all the jobs using this context variable will be updated automatically, then re-publish/deploy the jobs.

On TAC, you can have a try to use metaservlet API to update the tasks programmatically. Please refer to the following documentation pages.
