PostgreSQL Install

I am building a new Enterprise Manager server and just did the PostgreSQL install using the :\Program Files\Attunity\Enterprise Manager\postgresqlkit/postgresql.exe file that came with Enterprise Manager 2023.11.0.480 that I installed.  I need the be able to get or change the Password for the superuser ID that was created for me. Is the password stored in a file someplace on the system?  How do I go about changing it?  I tried looking for how to do it on the site and the forums but could not locate anything.

Thanks

Greg P.

Hi @Greg_Pagan ,

I've checked the PostgreSQL that comes with the QEM, it is version 12. According to the PostgreSQL's versioning policy, the PostgreSQL Global Development Group supports a major version for 5 years after its initial release. The first release of version 12 was on October 3, 2019. This version will soon reach its end of support. So, please visit PostgreSQL website to get a newer version.

As far as I remember, during the installation wizard, there is a step that asks you to provide a password for the database superuser (postgres).

Regards,
Desmond

Hello @Greg_Pagan , as administrador, you should try to configure your user to authenticate without password to PGSQL (might needs a restart), then change the password from inside and finally re-configure your authentications (other restart).

But this is something standard in PGSQL.
