Pros and Cons of installing Talend Integration Cloud - remote engine in windows vs linux

I know Linux is much cheaper than windows and the process is much faster and efficient.

But I would like to know the advantages/Disadvantages of installing remote engine in  Windows.

 Any pointers on Pros and Cons of installing Talend Integration Cloud - remote engine in windows vs linux ?

Hi,

this only depends on your corporate standards and architecture:

• domain integration
• integrated security
• shared folders
• system administrators and dba experience
• and etc

so,

• if all your environment based on windows - it is possibly better to use windows as job server
• if you already have non-windows resources (or resources without integrated security support) - Linux could give some benefits for you.

my personal opinion - Linux + Java works faster than Windows + Java because of Windows Defender
