Is there way for SAML users to log in to the web console?

It shows that our SSO users are able to leverage the Alerting extension and are being synced into Alerting's user admin page. However, we have yet to find a way for SSO/SAML users to connect to their mobile app or log in to the web console.

I could not find any documentation around how Qlik alerting authorizes/authenticates. Only info on how it authenticates against Qlik Sense.

At this stage Qlik Alerting uses username and passwords and does not have SSO. It is a roadmap item.

As @Richard_Byard mentioned, federated identity is on the roadmap. But in the interim, Qlik Alerting uses native authentication. This means that any user can, provided they have an email address for their user record in Qlik Alerting:

  • Access the Console
  • Reset their password
  • Set their password using the reset link
  • Login

This is the current flow regardless of providence of how the user authenticates into Qlik Sense Enterprise (SAML, Windows, Ticketing, etc, etc).

@Levi_Turner  and @Richard_Byard  Do we have any recent update on SSO with Qlik Alerting.
