18 Sheets In QMC, Only 6 Appear In App

Hello Folks,

We have a weird issue where a user can see 18 sheets in an app, but I as the RootAdmin can only see 6.

When I go to the QMC and look at App Objects, I see the 18 apps, but I still can't see them in the dashboard.  There is no difference in the Published or Approved status of these sheets.

Duplicating the app to my workspace makes no difference, I still can't see the missing 12 sheets.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

hi @justindallasverizon

sheets could by hidden

on your copy of the application, click on edit and you should be ablle to see them

if so, select the sheet and check "show condition"

I've seen such behaviour in environments where the default security rules have been tampered with, allowing users to create public sheets straight from the stream by pressing edit. I didn't dig deep enough to get a thorough understanding to why this happened.

This is how I would try to "recover" these sheets.

  • Localise the app file in your QlikShare app folder (it is named as the app_id),
  • make a local copy of it and rename it into a .qvf file.
  • Import it as a new app in qmc.
  • Open the app (it should now have all sheets.
  • Duplicate the sheets in question.
  • Publish and Replace the existing published application.

Note, this is not a feasible solution if there are a lot of private and community sheets in the Application as they will also be included in the copy.

@RafaelBarrios -Thanks!  This was the issue.  The sheets have show/hide conditions, and I wasn't able to see that based on my security.  Going to Edit mode allowed me to view the sheets.
