Hi Guys,
I try to apply the layout from our plant as a background layer.
I used QGIS to define the different workstations and I want to display various KPIs on this layer which is on top of the background layer.
The background layer should only serve as an orientation.
The layout is already uploaded to the media library.
Now I just want to use the PNG as a Background layer.
When I open the properties in the App and add a new Background layer, there is an option to use an Image but Qlik Sense asks for a URL.
Can anyone help me out with this one?
I hope this Question is accurate enough.
Thanks in advance.
Same problem here. I didn't manage to use a local file as a background layer. Are there any news to this topic?
Same problem, any news? need more information about image as background layer.
Thanks!
In the video they use url
Hi @dagrun and @albertovarela ,
I want to use my PNG which I uploaded to the media library, so I don't have an URL.
Or which URL do I have to use?
Thanks!
One way to do it is to create a virtual directory so you get a url for your image. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/iis/configuration/system.applicationhost/sites/site/application/vir...
I got it working for me.
In the QMC there is a Content libraries section and once you have set up a library there you can upload files. When you have uploaded an png go and edit the library. On the right check out Contents under Associated items, it will show a list of the uploaded files and all files get a URL. The map extension accepts this URL.
Hope anyone finds this useful 🙂
Thanks grobinsse, that did the trick for me.
