Archive Apps

Hi all,

i need to create an historic version of an app on a monthly basis: Every last day of a month i need to copy a published app (managed space) into a dedicated archive (shared space) and give that copied version a unique name (like Appname_Date).

I was playing with automations, but i dont seem to be able to use the copy app block on managed spaces...

Can anyone shed some light and / or help out ?

Thanks in advance!

Could you not just use the unpublished version that is in a shared space? We make a copy of the shared app and store it in an archive space then the automation published the new app into the managed space.

Hi @xyz_1011 , you can't get the app out of managed space with data. Instead, if you are ok with app without data, you can use Export App block and Import App block to achieve your goal

Hi @xyz_1011 ,

Below a screenshot of the Qlik Automation I have created that cover your requirements.
This is very close to what @tres_sdz have described.

The JSON file of the Qlik Automation is attached to this message. Use it to recreate the Qlik Automation in your Tenant. - reference: Qlik Automate: How to import and export automation... - Qlik Community - 1781602
