Hi All,
We have a business that likes detailed levels of reporting, this is up to a barcode level, with a product hierarchy that is up to seven levels by approx. 300 stores with apparel, home, etc. products. As a result, we've built very massive apps that are causing performance issues in the environment. Has anyone come across something similar and how did you go about resolving it? We tried as much as possible to push the 'heavy lifting' at the extractor layer.
Any advise, will be greatly welcome 🙂
Hi @DelantoQlik ,
It sounds like you need to perform Performance Tuning on your App and review your potential data modelling issues, as well as chart measures. Some ideas that you may entertain:
1. Get yourself a performance tuning tool, such as QSDA Pro. For relatively small apps (under 100 objects), there is a free version. For larger apps, you can purchase a subscription. With large datasets, it's worth every penny.
2. Learn the fundamentals of Performance Tuning and best practices for Data Modeling and efficient expressions. I'm not familiar with too many available sources, but I teach these disciplines at the Masters Summit for Qlik and at my Qlik Expert Class.
3. Engage an expert to perform a performance tuning exercise for you. Many experts can do it for you. I offer these services too. Send me a direct message to discuss if you are interested. It's not a very expensive engagement, compared to everything else.
Cheers,
Oleg Troyansky
