Can't copy/paste objects or sheets from app to app but can copy text
G'day All, has anyone seen and solved this problem?
Working in a team, we each take a copy of the app and build different sheets. I now want to copy other team members sheets into my copy of the app. However, copy/paste sheets or objects is only working within the same tab of the browser.
I am working in a RDP session
We have a multi-node installation and we both develop on the same 'Developer' node
The two apps are in two tabs in a Chrome browser
I can copy/paste text from one app to another just fine, so the terminal clip board is working ok
Copy/paste sheet only works if I paste back into the same tab of the browser
most of the time, I am able to copy sheets and charts from one app to another.
sometimes, intermittently, this does not work,
there is no error, it just does not work. meaning I can go through the motions of copying the sheet or chart via mouse or keyboard shortcut, but when i go to the other app (where I intend to paste either the sheet or the chart) and there is no option to paste (when I right-click in the proper place, private sheets list for sheets, edit mode of a sheet for pasting a chart). keyboard shortcut also does not work.
I have not noticed yet if it works in the same browser tab when the intermittent issue happens, i will try next time it crops up. most of the time I can do this copy paste sheet/chart activity into any open browser tab, even in a separate browser window. most of the time this works fine, but occasionally it fails and there appears to be no rhyme or reason.
i believe copying charts to a new app is supported. i believe copying sheets to a new app is also supported product docs for recent version of qlik enterprise show this and also saas/qcg as well. and it works great most of the time.
anyone else see this issue sometimes? anyone ever find out the cause?
