Diff QVDs

Is it possible to use Git or a similar software to diff QVD files in order to automatically find the differences in data?

QVDs? No i dont believe so. QVDs are not a great fit for git IMO.
Did you try Robs EasyQlik QViewer? Not sure your specific requirement is possible though but you can open qvds like an excel there

QViewer does not currently diff QVDs.  Are you looking to find differences in field values or field names?
