Diff b/w Timestamp and Timestamp#

Hello Guys,

Could someone help me understand the difference between Timestamp and Timestamp# with some examples if possible .

I am not able to understand 

Timestamp(number, format )

Timestamp#(string , format )

Kindly help .

Timestamp is a formatting function where you can use it to assign your desired format to any field. Whereas TimeStamp#() is an interpretation function which is used when QlikView or Qlik Sense doesn't understand your date format and you use it to let Qlik know that this is a date in the provided format.
