I've got an app to compare supermarket prices and search for the competitor's profit margin of each product. The user can add up as many 'searches' as they want to the Qlik dashboard and the app will calculate the avarage price and profit margin the products. Then I need to re-calculate the profit margin based on the avarage price values, but the function which I use to calculate the profit margin is at the SQL Server level and it's too complicated to be replicated on the Qlik Sense side, so I would like, once the user stops the selection, to request the server the profit margin for the avarage price values of the products...
Is that possible? What would allow me to do that, Direct Query, Direct Discovery? Can someone point me to an example?
