Disappearing Master Items

Hi all,

I keep encoutering the following problem with a Qlik Sense app : whenever I export the QVF file, and then import it on another environment, I lose some of the master items along the way.

Interestingly, it is always the same master items that are lost, even if I tried solutions such as deleting and re-creating them.

At first I thought it may have something to do with the way the master item is created (directly from a field, or with a calculus), but I have differently created master items among those that are systematically lost.

Thankfully, only one app is concerned, but I would like some help on this case, is there something I am missing ?

Best regards,

Martin.

One thing I'd recommend checking - were any of the master items created while the app was published? This would require custom security rules since normally it's not possible to edit a published app in this manner, but if you have those, master items added while published tend to exhibit some wonky behaviors.

Hi,

please check with your colleague who is having admin access to the platform and they are also facing similar issue.

I faced this similar issue when I’m working with platform manager where being an developer when I’m trying to export the report, few objects were missed but when I check with admin, they were able to export the report as is.

Thanks,

Thank you for your answers, the problem was indeed that the master items were created while the app while published.

Deleting them, and re-creating them on the personal workspace solved the problem.

Best regards,

Martin.

Speaking from some painful first-hand experience, I recommend you disable the security rule allowing that to happen. It causes all sorts of weird problems later.
