Double Clicking To Create Chart & Lazy Search Result Display from HUB

1.  DOUBLE CLICK

I always promote Qlik Sense as one of the best-in-class data analytic tool that designed by software engineers that always put end user in mind - ease of use.

There are not many tools allow end users or developers to create a chart within a minute by just 'double clicking)' (of course, provided, all master item dimension and measure have been set accordingly.).

To create a chart, all users need to know is 3 things: Dimension, Measure, Chart Type.  Then, next thing to do is to stay focus on the property panel in Right.  the rest is just double clicking.

Not anymore.

Now, whenever we double click a field or master item (where an active object is in chart), QS NO LONGER will add the selected item into the active chart, but to create another NEW object!

drag and drop is just not the same.  plus, now time could be spent in deleting object that we created by accident.

The feature that referring in this post is, when in edit mode of a sheet,

1.  Double clik any chart

2.  At field or master item, double click one  Dimension/measure - that dimension/meausre will actually going to be added into the selected chart, NOT creating ANOTHER new filter or table or new object.  or if the chart already has dimension or measure, it will ask if we need to replace or color by etc.

2.  LAZY SEARCH RESULT DISPLAY

This is about the search result display page from hub, when it displays the results, it just shows the minimum possible columns info with matched criteria.

The current search result really show not much value but a liability to some or most who might constantly do the search then forgot abt need to go to catalogue if we have too many app with same name in many spaces.  Below is your search display from catalogue section.

The catalogue page is good, but still not good enough:

1.  if possible, let us choose the column to display, if not, pls at least have:

a. app size

b.  user view

c.  owner

d.  enable column sorting by clicking on column

Apply your search result design page across the entire app should be consistency.

Hi! Did you try to contact Qlik Support to clarify if this behaviour was intentional?
