Error occurred while creating app from dataset: "App reload failed". Please try again

I have view access to the shipments.qvd in a public space and am trying to set up an app in my personal space. It worked with a prior dataset but now seem to fail with any new dataset in the same space with the error below. Any ideas?

Hi, you can try creating a new app from the 'add new' button, enter script editor and on the right select the qvd from DataFiles, add the script to load the qvd and try to reload, maybe here you can get more feedback on the error.
