Error with Preview data: "Qvx file read error on line 1, too many columns"

I just updated to the QS May 2025 release and am testing the "Preview data" tool from the Data Load Editor.

It works correctly in most cases, but sometimes it returns the following error:

"The following error occurred: Qvx file read error on line 1, too many columns"

Is there any documentation on the limitations of the tool?

Hi

Sometimes Qlik releases hotfixes for QVX metadata parsing (especially preview errors). Check release notes for May/June 2025.

I checked the May 2025 release notes and there is nothing about the "Data Preview" tool.

Hi, I know this is an old topic, but we just upgraded to november 2025 version of Qlik Sense and I am now getting this same error.  Did you ever find a solution for this?
