Excel export error with Colon (:) character

I'm getting some strange errors with the .xlsx file created by Qlik Sense when exporting the data from a table.

I've narrowed the problem down to a few columns in the table which are ratios formatted as x:1 (2:1, 3:1, 10:1 etc...)

The resulting file displays this message when trying to open with excel:  "We found a problem with some content in "filename".  Do you want us to try to recover as much as we can?  If you trust the source of this workbook, click Yes."

When i click Yes and open the file, it says it repaired some records.  Repaired Records: Format from /xl/styles.xml part (Styles).  The data looks fine except for the ratio columns, they come through as a whole number only.  For example if the value in qlik is 5:1, the excel file will only have 5.

Not sure if this is a Qlik issue or an excel issue...
