How to connect with impala?

Hi everyone,

i am trying to connect with impala using cloudera impala odbc connector but while trying to connect to the impala i am getting an error like "

Failed to establish connection

SQLSTATE: HY000[Cloudera][ImpalaODBC] (100) Error from the Impala Thrift API: connect() failed: errno = 100"

can any one explain what might the reason for error and how to resolve it .
