How to reduce the file size in QS by reduce data thru keep possible value ?

Hi All

In QV we are able to make use of reduce data and select keep possible value.

But in QS where can i find this feature.

As this is very impt , because it can help to reduce the file size very quick by just a click. As i encounter a lot of issue in QS on file size unable to upload the cloud , as they limit only 25 MB.

Same problem here and no solution.

My QVF file is 294MB in size. I've just removed unnecessary fields from SQL and TXT load scripts. Total SQL database was 3GB, now 2.5GB, but after reload the size of QVF file is the same 294MB. Why?

Yes, this "reduced data" functionality is definitely missing in QS. But you can do the following:

1. Open the file without the data

2. Save it

3. Transfer file to the cloud, etc.

4. Reload the file there.

Sergey,

Probably because Qlik's compression engine is doing pretty good job....

There are several post on this forum about how Qlik handles duplicate and unused values, empty fields, etc.

Your case probably relates to one of these situations.
