Indexing identical data

Hi All,

To give a little context I am building an App to look at warehouse efficiency. This is done by tracking movement scans throughout the warehouse. There are some scans that are duplicates due to the nature of the business but are done by different people performing different jobs. We have a set amount of time these actions should take. Because we have the same scans I can net tell the difference between the two but two scans must always be done in this area.  I do have a flag already set up for these scans. I need to index these scans buy having a row added into the load that alternates a 1 and 2 over the flags. I can not figure out how to get that to happen and this is where I need help.

I hope this makes since and thank you all for the help!

Why not including the information the user + timestamp within the scan-information? With it you could directly differentiate how many scans were performed and you also count/flag it. Further you may also include a variable with an incremented number which adds 1 by each execution.
