I think you are talking about Eastern Arabic numerals (just to make sure since we call the western arabic numerals often just arabic numerals in contrary to roman numerals).
Hm, I believe you can't change the numerals itself and I don't think there is a format code for eastern arabic numerals, but let's check with mto
