Maps on QlikSense

Hi!

I am trying to do a map just with the Spain 's provinces.

The map works perfectly but some of the provinces are locate in South America because the name is the same.

Is there any way to change the datas o something without using kml maps?

Thank you so much!

how are you creating the geoarea or geopoints?

if you are using google maps api you could just add the country

I just put the province as a Geodata, and I have used the standar map who has qlik.

Hi Celia,

I understood you are trying to show your data as points. Automatic Qlik cities and provinces in Data Preparation have some problems due to ambiguity. Example: Olimpia. Several cities and provinces have this name or similar names.

What you can try to use a province geolocalization table with Province name or ID (if Spain has some ID for each Province) and the latitude and longitude data for each province. I don't know does it work in Spain, but I would check if some Demographic Study Institute has this kind of information. For Brazil, I found several tables inside the Qlik community. After you get this info you have to make Qlik recognize this data as geodata, with the function GeoMakePoint(lat_field_name, long_field_name) as field1

Then use field1 as dimension of your maps.
