Optimization for allowing table linking (Association) on large data models September 2019

Reviewing the release notes documentation of Qlik Sense Enterprise September 2019 I found this curious issue solved:
"Optimization for allowing table linking (Association) for relatively medium to big data models
Jira issue ID: QLIK-95665 Description: Improved/optimized bottleneck code to allows linking (Association) process to kick in for medium to big size app."
Anyone have a clue of what is about and any further information about the expected gain of this optimization in memory usage, cpu, time ?
