		Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to create an area layer using custom shapes (such as big rectangles representing Department areas with in a floor plan) without GeoAnalytics. I don't believe we have a license for this so I would love to find some sort of work around to make this visualization possible. I have tried using a point layer with large squares to represent a department; then when you click on a department it drills down to the machines in that department. This doesn't really look too nice because you can't make the point big enough to display all of the machines nicely.
Note: I don't want to use any extensions - just Qlik supported visualizations (or their supported extension bundle)

Patric did a great write up on how to digitize floor plans here:
You should be able to digitize the floor plan you have and then add this in as a layer in the normal map chart (non GeoAnalytic extension). Set the background map to empty and load your layer.

		Hi,
What i know is you can't create custom shapes without GeoAnalytics because it doesn't support CSS,HTML.
Thanks

Thanks @ArnadoSandoval  and @Steven_Haught  ! I will eventually share other qlik tips on my Linkedin, feel free to connect! Guilherme Approbato.
By the way, check out the other video about looping in urls - also quite useful.
