Qlik Sense Desktop - Read only qvf

Hi Community.

How do I make my .qvf Read Only?

I have 2 computers, both using QS Desktop and I have always made the apps in PC#1 and send them later to modify in PC#2.

For some reason, the last app I sent is in Read Only, it has a keylock in QS that says "Read Only". I don't know how I did.

Can anyone explain me how to send the app as Read Only?

Thank you.

Regards.

Hi Patricio,

did you check the attributes of your QVF file in operating system?

Hi Patricio,

I've tried the right click on the qvf file and making it "Read only" yet if I share the file on a network drive anyone can change the attribute and untick that. Is there a way to apply a password protection. I'm using the desktop version.

Also, is there a way to restrict access within the app into specific sections or parts of the data. Let's say if you have 20 departments and you want the department head to access his own data only, can that be done in the desktop version?

Thanks.
