Qlik Sense Expression Editor limits

Hi there,

Are there any limitation for the expression editor of Qlik Sense?

I have a quit big expression with nested ifs which works fine in QlikView but when I am trying to copy and paste it in Qlik Sense there is a strange behavior, Qlik Sense does not paste the full expression like there is a line or a character limit in the editor. When I exclude some of the nested ifs and I limit the expression it works fine.

I couldn't find any reference about that kind of limitation, do you have any idea?

Hi,

Sorry i can't offer a direct answer, but i am not aware of any limitations on the expressions.

When you past your expression can you, then carry on typing more information in the window? Will quickly prove if it is a text limit.

Hi Mark,

Unfortunately not, that's why I suspect that there is a character limitation. I will ask Qlik Support for an official answer.

Are you pasting into the expression editor window or pasting into the accordion's small expression box ?
