Qlik Sense: XIRR - what method is used?

 

Hi Folks,

Does anyone know what methodology Qlik Sense uses to solve XIRR or IRR?  Newton's method? 

If possible, initially looking for a brief description - ideally similar level of detail to what MS provides for Excel: link
