In our dashboard we display Segment containing level 1 through Level 14. Drill down capability is enabled for segments, which allows drill down from level 1 to level2 , level 2 to level 3 and further levels.
Segment data is one of the dimension table and our requirement is display metric data from fact table based selection of segment levels.
Scenario 1:- On Selection of specific segments[Non OT Segment] the fact data to be filtered on Flag1=”Y”
Scenario 2:- On selection of OT segments the fact data needs to be filtered on Flag2=’Y’
These scenarios requires execution of triggers on selection of the segment. The selection of fields varies with the selection of specific Segments it becomes complicated to be handled within field triggers [it impacts levels from 1-14 of segments].
Implementing through variable triggers doesn’t change the field values dynamically on basis of segment selections.
Please help us with alternative solution.
