Referring to other expression values in Sense

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to use the value of one chart expression as an input to another, as it is in QlikView and, if so, how to do this?

Thanks!

We're not quite there yet. The equivalent in Sense  would be to create the expression as a 'master item' measure.  But we can't refer to the master item in an expression just yet.  More to come.

In the mean time or as an alternative you can use variables:

Define the variable in the load editor and then you CAN reference a variable in a chart expression.

Thanks, I'll try that.  The reason I was trying to do it as part of the table definition was that I wanted to make the values changeable, as with the InputField structure in QlikView.  Does this work with Sense also?

input fields are not available in Qlik Sense.

But i know that BWISE ( qlik partner on market.qlik.com) is offering a brand new 'write back' capability that was just updated for Qlik Sense.  It allows users to change / adjust / add commentary directly in Sense and 'write back' the values  to a 3rd party database... a more resilent solution than inputfields in qlikview.
