Selecting date from one column based on date in another column (In table)

I have to date columns in my app that I am having trouble related how they should. They do not have a direct relation persay.

One is the payment date, and one is the order deadline. I am trying to create a column in a table that selects the order deadline closest to (but before) the payment date. The relating key is a person key. So, I would hope to have a person key, order deadline, and then payment deadline as my three columns.

So far I have tried various renditions of =if(Max(TimeKey) < CommissionDeadline, Max(TimeKey)) because the TimeKey is already involved in an aggregation grouped by PersonKey in the load script.
