Sheet action not triggered if sheet is embedded

Hi All,

I have come across a situation where sheet actions are not triggered if sheet is embedded. I know that the documentation mentions it won't work with embed option. I want to set few variables when the sheet is opened while it's embedded. Is there a way to achieve the same with any alternate options.

Hello,

As it is mentioned in "Adding actions to sheets" [1] and as you have already stated, "Sheet actions are not triggered if the sheet is an embedded sheet or in a mashup", which means that natively your use case scenario is not supported.

Workarounds and options that you might have for now are:

• Submit a feature request [2]
• Create a button that when clicked will apply the selections automatically. (You can add the refresh icon on the button, which will indicate that "UI" needs to be refreshed when app opened etc.)
• Try to see if there is any custom extension available that can suit your needs [3]
• Try creating your own custom extension, that will apply selections when reloaded or with any other logic [4]

NOTE: I can't guarantee 100% that the last 2 points will provide the solution that you are looking for. However, I believe that it is worth running some tests and try some things out.
