Slow Qlik Sense Map with polygons data - how to speed it up?

Hi,

We have a Qlik Sense map where we are drilling down from region to countries (e.g. EMEA to countries in EMEA).

The Qlik Sense map really lags and is slow when we drill-down. The polygons data is held in a countries table.

How can we fix this lagging issue? We have Qlik Sense November 2017.

The only way is to reduce the number of points in the polygons or alternatively scale up your hardware.

Curious, why would this cause a problem? Is it because the points make a longer string to process?
