Sort by expression filter box

Hi, I have a field with entities that arrive with "Id - Name" and my client want the list sorted by the Name, the second part of the string. So I tried with Sort buy Expression: '=SubField(display_name, ' - ', 2)'. But it still sorts by the Id. I know that the expression returns only the Name when I try it in a text box. 

Is there something special I have to do or is this just not possible in qlik sense right now? 
Also not allowed to use extensions.
