Toggle Month and Year in chart

I will like to do this. When i have years on the data of  the bar chart then show data according to the the year (2020,2021...) But when i select 1 year (or less) like for example 2020 then i will see in the bar chart the month of 2020 (Jan, Feb...) 

In code i should ask if it's equal or less then one year then show months.
