Variable Dimension in Map

Hi, 

I am trying to add a variable I use the change the strats on a dashboard onto a map that can display the name of the strat.  For instance, the below image should show  region, I have tried set analysis on the label to no luck.  This may not be possible and have to name it something generic but it would be cool to show the name.
