Variable values in Bookmarks

I have created an app where I use a number of variables to show and hide Dimensions and Measures (via buttons) in order to create cusomizable reports (without creating a community Sheet)

I have an issue that when I create a bookmark, the varialble values (the Measures selected) are not included.

I used the following extension to accomplish this, it worked at first, however this extension appears to have some issue (e.g causes Tooltips to fail)

Does anyone have a solution to this issue, or is it on the roadmap to include front end variable values in bookmarks?
