What is "Purge Strategy"?

I am preparing to take the Qlik Sense Data Architect Certification exam and on the site they mention

• Create data models (e.g., join, keep, resident load, where clause, incremental load, purge strategy, variable)

Does anyone know what "Purge Strategy" is? Googling only got me back to the same page.

I don't know but I guess it meant methods of elimination unneeded data and keeping just those which are later used within the reports ...
