I just saw on the Feb 2021 release page for widgets that they are are considered “deprecated” and will be removed in a future release. What are we supposed to do with the significant number of integral widgets we have developed in our shop? And, how long will we have?
We developed these as there were no suitable alternatives in Qlik Sense. Frankly, that’s still largely the case.
Top navigation bars with sub menus, custom legends, horizontal line with text, vertical line for separating elements, legal “trademark wording” footers with data load date/feedback link on every page of every application, and many others. Virtually every one of our apps will have to be reformatted. The end result will have reduced functionality and diminished visual appeal.
