dynamic financial balance and progressive sums

hi everyone,

i'd like to share with you my problem and see if someone can help me solving it.

i've got a data set made by dates and values(negatives and positives) that i'd like to rappresent on a line graph (and that's easy)

BUT

when i select a certain period of time, i.e. a month, i want to see in the first date of the selection (asc order) the sum of all the previous values outside the selection, and in the following dates the progressive sum of the values. in this way a can see the balance in every date selection and the following movement.

i thought this formula would work but it doesn't...

sum(W_IMPORTO)+if(ROWNO()=1,$(=Sum({$< DATA={"<=Min(DATA)"}>} W_IMPORTO)),0)

i use it in a similar app of the inventoy movements and it happens to work! i don't undestand why it doesn't here...

attached there are the qvf and the qvd as example

any help will be great!

thanks
