forcing association by creating new column from multiple fields using concatenate

Can I create my own key column in the data load editor for a qvd file so that I can join/associate that with another qvd file?

E.g -

QVD1 - Year, Month, Account, ClientAcc, ClientKey, Revenue

QVD2, State, Region, County, Account, ClientAcc, ClientKey, Costs

As you can see, I am trying to use both the Revenue and Costs measures but the 2 QVD's do not associate since there is nothing to associate on.

Can I concatenate the Account, ClientAcc, ClientKey (Account+ClientAcc+ClientKey) into a new column for both QVD's so that they will associate upon loading? I'm trying to see what the best practice for this type of task.

Yes, you can concatenate. The suggested is Autonumber(Account&'|'&ClientAcc&'|'&ClientKey).

QVD1 - Autonumber(Account&'|'&ClientAcc&'|'&ClientKey) as ID, Year, Month,Revenue

QVD2 -  Autonumber(Account&'|'&ClientAcc&'|'&ClientKey) as ID, State, Region, County, Costs

I hope this helps.
