hiding selection in list box

hi,

I have a tow values in my list box(style as check box),

what I want is one value to be default selected,but this value should not be displayed in selections bar at the top,

how to do that

do you always want only that value should be selected?? User is not able to change value of that field?

I have always one selected value checked,and given some default value,

but on the top of the page it shouldn't be showing as a current selection

but do you want user to change that??? if no, then do one trick during development
1: rename that field with "_fieldName", then in GUI make it as always one selected and saved the selection.
2: again go to script editor add new variable
set HidePrefix='_';
3: Reload script again. You will not found that field on front end . but selection will persist.

Set Alternate state for that object , and Provide Group say G1. But you need to set this Group G1 on each and every object impacted on selection.
