I have a pivot table with a row dimension of City and column dimension of Category. My expression below only shows the correct values in the pivot table once i select a valye from the row dimension City. How can i get the pivot table to display the correct values without have to click a row dimension value?
Count( {< [Event Type] = {'MORTALITY'} , [Event Review Form Status]={'Completed'}>} [Category])
/
count( {< [Event Type] = {'MORTALITY'} , [Event Review Form Status]={'Completed'}>} Total [Event Review RN])
First you need to define what is the correct value. More specific, what is the expected denominator value of your fraction.
The TOTAL in your denominator is saying to get the total of all the dimensions values in your chart/table. When selecting a city you reduce the total to only look at the total for that city.
The answer to your question depends of course on what you are exenctng as the correct denominator value , but I suspect that you might solve this by telling the total to respect your city dimension. Try this:
{< [Event Type] = {'MORTALITY'} , [Event Review Form Status]={'Completed'}>}
Count( [Category])
/
count( Total <City> [Event Review RN])
