simply x y scatter...why 3 fields required?

I go to create a scatter plot in QlikSense and it requires a dimension and 2 measures. I only have X and Y values. What is the third thing required?

The scatterplot need 2 measure, these are the x and y axis, and 1 dimension, that represents the points in the chart.

If you have only two value, consider other type of chart.

thank you...now how do I add a trendline and R-squared value?

maybe I am using the wrong feature. I simply want to replicate an x-y scatter chart from excel in qliksense. So far, the results I see are not very good compared to excel.
