Since a few days we see the message "Contains third-party blocks" on some automations we have.
It looks like this message is created when there is an update available of 1 or more blocks. We think this message causes confusion and isn't related to the real "problem" which is kind of ugly.
Hi @Old_Blendr_man ,
This is part of a change in the packaging for Qlik Application Automation, that shifts the focus to third-party runs only. We introduced this label to indicate when an automation contains active third-party blocks. More information is available in this article.
Hi @Emile_Koslowski ,
Thank you for the link. I don't really understand what the goal is of this nor do I understand why only 2 automations of us have this "Third party blocks" message. We use our automations purely to communicate to external applications like SalesForce and ServiceNow.
We would like to be informed regarding the impact of this license change on our account a.s.a.p. as we are currently investigating several solutions to fulfil our increasing needs regarding data exchange between several systems.
Hi @Old_Blendr_man ,
This shift to third-party runs should not impact you if you only use third-party systems. I suggest you reach out to your account manager for any questions about your license or to review expansion options.
I have this question too because it's made our hearts stop a little. It appears to indicate additional billing, while I understand talking to our Account Manager, I think this message is VERY unclear and causing more than a few headaches.
i.e. Additional costs should not be communicated through an Administration screen. and if they're not additional maybe reviewer notes would be appreciated so we can anticipate the questions that will come? Did I miss a related release note?
