Replacement for tGoogleAnalyticsInput to enable Google Analytics 4
I have just started a replacement development for the component tGoogleAnalyticsInput.
This component is dedicated to the now legacy Google Analytics system called Universal Analytics (UA). Google has introduced Google Analytics 4 which is in many aspects very different to UA and expects different configurations.
Unfortunately Google has caused some confusion because for UA exists an API version 4 - thats why I was in the first time convinced Google Analytics 4 is already supported by tGoogleAnalyticsInput but this is not the case. The UA API version 4 has nothing to do with Google Analytic 4 (which has actually an API version 1).
Google Analytics 4 is much easier to develop and to test than Google Ads (for which I have recently stopped the development). I have already a working test environment and the similarities to UA quit good so I am convinced the effort will succeed.
