Qlik Data Gateway Error

Hi,

During the past weekend our reloads using the Qlik Data Gateway (version 1.6.6) ran into failures with the following error:

Data has not been loaded. Please correct the error and try loading again.

The following error occurred:

Internal error. (Connector error: Unknown reason:. Object reference not set to an instance of an object. (DirectAccess-1500))

The engine error code: EDC_ERROR:22013

The service was still running but I restarted it anyway and things are up and running again. But I want to have an idea of what caused this to happen to decrease the chance of this happening again.

Thanx in advance.

Kind regards, Tamarah

I don't know if this page is relevant (it seems for me: Complete List of Qlik Errors and Descriptions) then gRCP error are internal, and I think test to do is to open an issue

Hello everyone, I installed version 1.6.9, but I’m still getting the same error.

Hello!
One of our customer is suffering the same problem. We upgraded the version from 1.6.7 to 1.6.9 but the problem is still the same.

We had also open a case to Qlik Support for deep investigations.

I have not encountered this error since 2024-12-06. Can anyone else share if they have had any issues since? It looks like the Qlik gateway was silently updated for this issue to be resolved.

There hasn't been good communication from Qlik about this issue to us, either from support tickets or this forum. Resolution from our end involved setting up automations to try reloads 5+ times in a row until we got lucky for extractions using the gateway.

Hello @mpapasergio, was your temporary solution to create automations to repeat loads that give errors? Can you tell me how you created these automations?

We have had fewer occasions lately but the failures still happen (last was yesterday, just a single app in a single tenant).

Hi @V_Ortis, It involves setting up the automations to run on a schedule. Create a do reload block that doesn't error out the reload if it fails, then check the last reload that happened to see if it was successful. If it wasn't, try again x times.

Hi @mpapasergio !

Since that issue, do you still using the automation to reload until it's successful?

Have you applied a new version of QDG, such as 1.7.X, since then?

we started to see DirectAccess-1500 much less after last few data gateway upgrades. on 1.7.1 now. very few of these errors, they used to be very, very prevalent on the older versions. (20 or more per day, to 2 or so per week)
