SL server Access

Hi

I am connecting to a SQL Server data base, through a VPN Forti Client; the connexion is OK

I am creating a new connection in QlikSense with Ser Name, Data Base Name and credentials

When using Qlik Desktop, the connexion is immediate and I can load whatver tables from teh data base

In this case I am using the '0' port

Whan using QlikSense in Cloud the connexion fails with the same paort '0' !

Can somebody help me ?

Try using port 1433.

Qlik Sense desktop assume 0 as default port while Qlik Cloud needs the port # explicitly.

You will need a data gateway. The external server(Qlik cloud) is unable to hit your SQL DB.

Since you're using FortiClient VPN, the machine running the gateway needs to:

Either be physically inside the network (no VPN needed)

Or have FortiClient running as a service (not just a user session) so it stays connected for scheduled reloads

A user-mode VPN that disconnects on logout will cause reload failures overnight or on weekends.
