How to join two dataset with different rows in Talend Data Preparation

Hi all
new to talend data preparation, just start to explore its functions and features. I have two questions on its feature: 1) Can I use the lookup function in data prep to join two data sets with different rows? does it have certain level of fuzzy matching? as far as i know, lookup will join table and pull across data where cell value in matching column matches but in my datasets it's hard to find exact match as they are from different applications. 2) Can I define bespoke semantic type of column of data in Talend data preparation?
look forward to hearing from you, many thanks

Hi,

The lookup does not have yet fuzzy matching capabilities, it has to be an exact match for now. That is something already identified, which will be added in a next release.
You can indeed add custom semantic types in Talend Data Preparation, via the "Dictionary service". Note that this is only available in the commercial version.
